If your using the standard headset, the effects WILL NOT go through there.
If you want a headset that does that, I recommend the Turtle Beach X1′s, cheap, realiable and work VERY well.
Go to turtlebeach.com and look at them.. only the X-series also if you decide to buy amazon.com usually has the best deals.
