I have a Morphy Richards bread maker -bread always a bit heavy & solid, and outside crust never crispy – why

This is an old machine which was passed on to me. I have only made bread about 6 times. I follow the instructions in the manual, but the bread always comes out a bit heavy and solid ( I know that’s just a question of getting the yeast balance right and using the correct yeast), but also the crust is never crispy like it is when you buy from a good bakery. What am I doing wrong?
My question is “What am I doing wrong”, not “is there an alternative way of making bread without using this machine”

The PROBLEM of getting it spot on every time has gone as has the need for a breadmaker. Next time you are in the supermarket pick up a packet of WRIGHTS bread mix, you make it all yourself but it is all measured out for you, there are many different kinds of breads to choose from. This is not the usual crap mixes on sale, it is a product that will surpass anything you have tried before in this line.You are guaranteed a perfect home made loaf every time with the minimum of effort and no messy washing up of lots of dishes. I need to know how to clean a very large brass sculpture easy and effectively?

lambos are played out i would go with suicide doors much cleaner, but hey its your truck so if you like it go for it. I would buy a good bolt on kit, bolt and weld it I’ve heard of bolts busting on a lot of bolt on kits.
