Need some help with guitar wiring…?

I’m building a Warmoth double humbucker Strat. I have a Duncan ’59 humbucker for the neck position and a Duncan Invader for the bridge. I know those pickups are on pretty opposite ends of the spectrum, but I’m trying to combine my two favorite sounds into one axe. I’m also hoping to keep the standard Fender style controls (volume-tone-tone). Do I need to use a 250k tone pot for the ’59 and a 500k tone pot for the Invader? 250k tone pot for both? 500k tone pot for both? And if I used both 250k and 500k for their appropriate pickups, would I need a 250k or 500k pot for volume?

I hope that all makes sense. This is my first build and the electronics part is scary to me.

Hello there,

You are building a Strat style guitar that will have two humbucking pickups. You need 500 K pots for humbuckers, not 250 K. 250 K are used for single coil pickups.

Later,

is florida too hot for in floor heating?

im doing a project for my science class,to make a house as sustainable as possible..
i already have
-lots of windows, high efficiency glass, argon filled.
-solar panels
-greenhouse
-insulate well. Recycled insulation, pulped paper blown into cavities
-use fluorescent light bulbs / low energy
- ICF blocks
-gray water system
-use low voc paint
-recycled flooring, timber from sustainable forests

And,i think i want to use infloor heating, but is florida too hot for that?
i would heat it through geothermal heating.
plus,is there anything else i could do to make it mroe efficient?

Florida has cooler days and nights. In floor heating is probably a little expensive for the amount of heating you require in florida. I think most people in southern florida get by with much cheaper heating systems and just pay the extra in electricity or gas………you never know though in the future…they say global warming will actually cause some areas to get much colder.

Geothermal is good because it can be used to heat or cool so yeah go with that. You can use the heat from the earth to heat the fluid in the pipes under the floor. You would have to use forced air for cooling, but they make all kinds fo systems if you want to pay $20,000 now to save $1000 a year for the next 20. Of course by then you will be due for a new system.
