You should definitely try it. He’d probably just think you’d want some and German Shepherd’s are very generous dogs. Make sure he’s really hungry when you do it.

Clock on radio always wrong after shop flashed computer?

I had to take my truck into the shop. They said that my hub was causeing hard braking and the computer could not read the tone wheel in it. They replaced the hub and flashed the computer. The mechanic did say that he had not flashed a computer in over a year. Right out of the shop the clock on the radio was wrong. For about a week I adjusted the clock several times and it when I shut the car and then start it after a while, it is always wrong. The shop said that it is not their fault, but it worked fine until i pulled it out of the shop. I am not trying to just blame the mechanic, but it did not work rignt out of the shop.

Take it to a dealer mechanic for an estimate. They should be able to tell you if flashing the computer could cause that.
Then go back to your mechanic and tell them to fix it or pay the dealer’s repair cost via small claims court.

oil painting on canvas by artist WALDECK ?

The painting is a landscape and signed by the artist WALDECK he was born in essen germany in 1928 his uncle was famous painter freitag.from 1943 to 1945 he attended the federal acadamy for masters also a student of professor urban & schubert from 1964 waldeck has had exhibitions all over germany.
I bought this painting whilst in berlin in 1984 from a dealer called Josef Mensing along with the painting i recieved a biography of Waldeck with the number 211 printed at the top,and a certificate of authentication that the artist waldeck was the painter

Can anyone out there throw anymore light on the subject like where to find out more of the artist and how to find more of his paintings and possibly the value of his artwork
Thanking you in anyicipation.

Hi! I found this:

Item: Oil on Canvas by Waldeck
Reference#:3587
Status: Sold (price not displayed)
This is an oil on canvas of a mountain background with incredibly well done stormy skies, exquisite detail of cabin by the lake. Muted color palate. Beautifully framed. Viewable size is 39″x19″ and overall size is 25.5″x45″. This picture contains the original certificate indicating it was painted and signed by the artist and sold through Josef Mensing International Art Gallery, Germany. Also contains original sales receipt from purchase in 1983.

If there was more to be found on your artist… I did not find it. There is, however, a gallery by the name: Galerie Mensing: http://www.galerie-mensing.de/… which seems to have an affiliate, I’m assuming, since it goes by the name: Joseph Mensing Museum: Hamm-Rhynern, Germany which seems to be the agent of KunstKopie that sell reproductions from the Mensing Museum with the name of Bridgeman Art Library… whew! That being said… this organization seems highly substantial and most operational. I would contact them for further assistance by using the contact information in their site listed above or call Sotheby’s or Christies. I wish you good luck!

if we go for a clock shop, why there all clocks are showing the time is 10:10?

if one shop set up the time in 10:10 means.., okey. but, why in worldwide all clock shops are following the same matter in same way???

Most of you noticed for years that every advertisement for a clock or watch ALWAYS has the hour hand on 10 and the minute hand on 2. This holds true for print ads, online ads, TV ad’s, etc.

The reason behind this secret is very interesting! Several people all over the world told that the clocks’ hands in advertisements are set at 10:10 because “this was the time of day when Abraham Lincoln was shot, or the time when he died”. This is a fascinating explanation, but there isn’t a shred of evidence for it (and, in fact, Lincoln was shot at 10:15 PM, and died the next morning at 7:22). Exactly the same myth is sometimes reported with John F. Kennedy or Martin Luther King as the person being memorialized in the clock ads. In my (The Boss) case, when I was there in high school, my social science teacher told us that it was the time of Napoleon Bonaparte was killed!

Someone has gathered some information on the subject for you. The consensus of opinion (confirmed by Timex) is that clock and watch hands in advertisements are typically set at 10:10 so that the company’s logo will be well-displayed. In addition, this position of the hands resembles a smile.

“Q: WHEN YOU SEE AN AD WITH A CLOCK IN IT THE HANDS ARE ALWAYS POSITIONED AT 10:10?

A: WE CALLED TIMEX FOR YOUR ANSWER AND IT SAYS THE HANDS ON A CLOCK ARE PLACED AT TEN-TEN BECAUSE IT’S A CREATIVE STANDARD INDUSTRY. TIMEX SAYS THE HANDS ON TIMEPIECES ARE PLACED AT TEN-TEN SO THE COMPANY LOGO ON THE FACE WILL BE FRAMED AND NOT BLOCKED BY THE HANDS. TIMEX SAYS THE INDUSTRY STANDARD USED TO BE EIGHT-TWENTY BUT THAT LOOKED TOO MUCH LIKE A FROWN AND CREATED AN UNHAPPY LOOK. TIMEX SAYS IN ITS ADS, THE CLOCK HANDS ARE PLACED AT TEN-NINE AND THIRTY SIX SECONDS, EXACTLY.”
