I had to take my truck into the shop. They said that my hub was causeing hard braking and the computer could not read the tone wheel in it. They replaced the hub and flashed the computer. The mechanic did say that he had not flashed a computer in over a year. Right out of the shop the clock on the radio was wrong. For about a week I adjusted the clock several times and it when I shut the car and then start it after a while, it is always wrong. The shop said that it is not their fault, but it worked fine until i pulled it out of the shop. I am not trying to just blame the mechanic, but it did not work rignt out of the shop.
Take it to a dealer mechanic for an estimate. They should be able to tell you if flashing the computer could cause that.
Then go back to your mechanic and tell them to fix it or pay the dealer’s repair cost via small claims court.
